Minet Junior School
Head Teacher - Steve Foot

The school in the last twelve months has excelled considerably thanks to the Collaborative and the work that we are doing. It is the result of this and the hard-work by the school's staff, volunteers and parents that we got a Good Ofsted rating. This has been a considerable achievement for us and one which we will continue to work to maintain.

In addition to this, the collaborative has been successful in helping us to secure additional resources such as a mini bus for the school. This is now being used quite extensively by the school for enrichment activities during school term and holiday times.

Recently we held a one world week (May 2008) event on our school grounds. This event was very successful with over one thousand people attending with monay more watching fromoutside the school gates. Our staff and helpers worked all year round in preparation of this event. However the success of the event was further elevated when we secured additional funding through the Collaborative. This funding helped us to make the event weather-proof, supplied us with proper staging, lighting and sound equipment. This resource made a major impact on the event by enabling our pupils and their teachers to properly showcase the fruits of their year long labour.

The work of the collaborative is growing alongside our school and we shall be posting more information on these pages as it becomes available.
